Videobloggers take note.
VideoFlick is not your average Wordpress theme. This is a beautiful, effective and powerful premium theme specifically designed for video blogs or websites focused solely on posting video content.
The layout looks like a fairly traditional (but stylish) photo gallery but each of the images is linked directly to a piece of video. Click on one of the images and the screen fades to black and your video launches, giving the user a real cinema feel.
Clicking on the post title instead of the video will take the user to a full description of the video, as well as being able to access the video on the page.
VideoFlick supports several video formats, including YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, Flash video, Quicktime and Windows Media Video.
You can choose between light and dark versions, and between landscape and portrait-style thumbnails for your videos.

Silhouette is an impressive free Wordpress theme, which comes in both two and three-column versions, though the three-column is probably the pick of the pair.
It’s got a clean grey header and beautifully styled sidebar areas, as well as a simple but effective top navigation bar.

Derek Punsalan of 5thirtyone.com has been a consistent innovator on the Wordpress theme front. Grid Focus is a lovely, free three-column template with beautiful type and consistent design across the entire site.
Convenient navigation bars can be found at the top and bottom of all pages. The third column provides a great opportunity for advertising or highlighting featured posts.

The Illacrimo free Wordpress theme is, shall we say, el primo. This is a very high quality three-column design, with a bold set of colours and a predominance of blue.
The search field is prominent, the content is easy to read and the third column would provide a nice spot for some text advertising or meta information.

This minimalist, flexible, ad-ready Wordpress theme with Flickr integration was created by Derek Powazek, a well-known internet ‘celebrity’, who has created a number of large web brands, including Fray.
Some hand-coding is required to personalise the footer but this actually makes the template more flexible.

One of professional theme creator Brian Gardner’s free Wordpress templates, Whitespace is a minimalistic, white theme. Very clean. Lots of (surprise, surprise) white space.
The theme has a central content column and a Widget-ready sidebar on each side, making it perfect for having navigation on one side and featured items on the other.

If you can figure out how to pronounce the name of this three-column black-white-and-blue Wordpress theme, then more power to you.
If you instead just go ahead and install it, you’ll find you’re powering a site that has three columns, crisp and clear design. We’re talking a minimalist aesthetic, even though the name doesn’t seem at all minimal!

Margot is a simple but effective blog theme, with two columns, a simple navigation bar across the top, clean and crisp typography, rounded corners and a large header image.
It would be easy to change the header and the colours to make a unique site design if you have some limited Wordpress templating and CSS skills.

Brian Gardner, the Dropshadow theme’s author, describes it as having a “modern, yet elegant look”, which is pretty much right on the money.
Dropshadow is a two-column, Widget-ready theme, with a dark-grey header and navigation, a mix of serif and san-serif typography, and easy to read black-on-white text in the main content column.

Simplicity is a clean, minimal, two-column Wordpress theme. The name says it all – this is an elegant theme that lets the content stand for itself.
It comes in two different shades. The SimplicityDark has a dark grey background with light text. SimplicityBright has a lighter background. The Simplicity theme is only available in German (though it’s simple to translate it across to English) but SimplicityBright has an English language version.
