TV.Elements

TV.Elements is an excellent, dark, video-centric theme specifically designed to cater for higher-resolution video of any size up to 640 pixels wide.

Video is front and centre in this theme, which highlights the latest clip in the middle of the page and uses a carousel navigation to the right of the main clip to showcase more videos.

The user can select a category from the dropdown menu to browse all video in that category, and simply select any video in the list to watch the video, read its associated content, or comment.

Posting videos is as simple as copying the embed code from the source site and pasting it into a field. The theme works elegantly with Blip.TV, Flickr, MetaCafe, MySpace, Veoh, Viddler, Vimeo and YouTube — and should work with pretty much any embeddable video, including your own hosted Flash files.

The TV.Elements theme has 5 sidebars, all of which can be configured separately through the standard WordPress widget interface.

When a user clicks through to view a video, it opens in a custom player that fades the rest of the screen to black.

Video Elements

Video Elements is a premium Wordpress theme that should catch the eyes of video bloggers everywhere.

It features a banner display of recent videos that’s similar in style to Apple’s “Cover Flow” method of navigating iTunes. For the remainder of the page layout, site owners can choose between a traditional linear ‘blog-style’ posting of the latest videos, or a gallery-style presentation. Either way, you’re talking about a very impressive video site.

When a user clicks through to view a video, it opens in a custom player that fades the rest of the screen to black.

The Video Elements template also features a widget-ready and customizable sidebar.

The theme supports several video formats, including YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, Flash video, Quicktime and Windows Media Video.

  • Unique layout for presenting web video
  • Built-in video player to give your site a cinematic feel
  • Compatible with most video formats
  • Widget-ready sidebar

Cost

The Video Elements theme costs a very reasonable $US25 for a single licence or $US75 for a multiple site licence and includes both the gallery and blog styles of the theme.

VideoFlick

Videobloggers take note.

VideoFlick is not your average Wordpress theme. This is a beautiful and effective premium theme specifically designed for video blogs or websites focused solely on posting video content.

The layout looks like a fairly traditional (but stylish) photo gallery but each of the images is linked directly to a piece of video. Click on one of the images and the screen fades to black and your video launches, giving the user a real cinema feel.

Clicking on the post title instead of the video will take the user to a full description of the video, as well as being able to access the video on the page.

VideoFlick supports several video formats, including YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, Flash video, Quicktime and Windows Media Video.

You can choose between light and dark versions, and between landscape and portrait-style thumbnails for your videos.

Features:

  • Unique video gallery layout
  • Built-in video player to give your site a cinematic feel
  • Compatible with most video formats

Cost

The VideoFlick theme costs a very reasonable $US25 for a single licence or $US75 for a multiple site licence and includes all four versions of the theme.
